Last week, on a mission critical project in the UK, Team Crown carried out a High-Level Net Rescue Drill. In line with the Construction Industry Federation’s Safety Campaign focus on ‘Back To Basics’, the critical risk of Working At Height that is central to our work package, was highlighted by Crown over the past two weeks.
Using a mannequin to demonstrate our Emergency Plan in place on-site, our drill involved using a certified MEWP to access the high-level netting, freeing the mannequin from the netting, rescuing to ground level and preparing the casualty for medical treatment.
Safe working at height is of paramount importance to all those working in the construction sector, and we appreciate the recognition and support of our site colleagues in maintaining mutual safety. A special thanks to John Paul Construction for facilitating this demonstration.
