Each October, the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) holds its annual Safety Campaign. This year, the theme of the campaign is Critical Risk.
Over the course of two weeks, the campaign sees thousands of construction workers and companies, in Ireland and overseas, focus on mitigating critical risks on construction sites, and educating on and implementing safety practices.
One of the critical risks being highlighted this year is Working at Height.
Safety is a core value at Crown and with most of our external envelope package including some element of working at height, our focus is always on ensuring that our staff and site colleagues are working safely.
As part of our continual staff education on safe work practices, we recently held Slinger Signaller and Banksman training on one of our mission critical sites, in the Nordics. Several colleagues participated and were certified, demonstrating their commitment to safe lifting and working at height.
At Crown, we always stress the importance of assessing height related activities and mitigating associated risks, before acting.
Prevention is better than cure.
