The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has reported a sharp rise in work-related fatalities in 2025, with the construction sector recording 10 fatalities, double the number reported in 2024. These incidents occurred across both large and small sites and involved workers of all experience levels, serving as a stark reminder that no one is immune to risk.
Every worker deserves to return home safely at the end of the day. At Crown, we are committed to protecting not only the physical safety of those we work with, but also their mental wellbeing, by fostering a culture where safety is prioritised, openly discussed and upheld at every level of the organisation.
We are proud to share that in 2025 we have achieved 𝟴𝟵𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱. This milestone reflects the dedication, vigilance and shared responsibility of our teams, partners and contractors who choose to do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
To ensure safety remains front of mind throughout the year, we are introducing our 2026 Safety, Health and Wellbeing Calendar. Designed in line with the 2026 CIF Calendar, it will focus on high-risk activities, physical and mental health, and critical tasks specific to Crown operations, helping to raise awareness in a structured and meaningful way as the year progresses.
Through continued focus, education and leadership, we will keep safety at the heart of our operations, because at Crown, putting people first is at the core of everything we do.
